ABOUT THE COURSE

About IT Career Starter Course

The IT Career Starter Course is designed for learners who are new to programming. It supports students who have completed 12th and want to build programming foundations before or alongside college, as well as graduates who want to begin preparing for an IT career.

Start with programming fundamentals

Learn how to break a task into steps, express logic with Python, use variables and data types, control program flow, write functions, and work with collections. The course assumes no previous programming background and introduces concepts through small, progressively more challenging exercises.

Build problem-solving and database skills

Practice core data structures and algorithms in Python, including lists, dictionaries, stacks, queues, searching, sorting, recursion, and introductory time-complexity reasoning. Learn MySQL fundamentals to create tables, query records, and connect application ideas to stored data.

Learn collaborative tools and make an application

Use Git and GitHub concepts to track changes and organize a project. After the programming and problem-solving foundations, learn Tkinter basics and build a small desktop application that brings interface, logic, and data concepts together.

The course provides a foundation for continued study, projects, and further specialization. It does not guarantee college admission, employment, or a particular career outcome. Course fee: ₹17,000. Duration: 3 months.

    • Simple classes and objects
    • Input validation
    • Testing small functions
Practical work:

Build a command-line organizer with functions, collections, input checks, and a small set of tests.

Develop core DSA foundations through lists, dictionaries, stacks, queues, searching, sorting, recursion, and introductory complexity reasoning before building the desktop app.

  • Data structures
    • Lists and strings
    • Dictionaries and sets
    • Stacks and queues
  • Algorithms and analysis
    • Searching and sorting
    • Recursion basics
    • Introductory time complexity
Practical work:

Solve a graded set of beginner problems and compare a simple search or sorting approach using clear test cases.

Learn relational database concepts and use MySQL to define tables, query records, and reason about basic relationships and data integrity.

  • Relational data
    • Tables and columns
    • Primary and foreign keys
    • Basic relationships
  • SQL practice
    • SELECT and filtering
    • INSERT and UPDATE
    • Sorting and joins introduction
Practical work:

Design a small database for a fictional task list and write queries to add, find, and update records.

Track changes, create commits, and understand how repositories help organize and share learning projects.

  • Version control basics
    • Repositories and working trees
    • Status and diffs
    • Commits and history
  • GitHub workflow
    • Remote repositories
    • Branches and pull requests concepts
    • README and project structure
Practical work:

Put a practice project under version control, make a sequence of focused commits, and write a short README.

Apply Python foundations, DSA practice, MySQL concepts, and version control to a small desktop app with a graphical interface.

  • Tkinter interface
    • Windows and widgets
    • Events and callbacks
    • Form validation
  • Application project
    • Organizing code
    • Optional database connection
    • Testing and demonstration
Practical work:

Build a small desktop task or study organizer with a Tkinter interface, input validation, and documented setup steps.

The 3-month sequence starts with programming logic and Python, develops core data structures and algorithms before the project phase, then covers MySQL, Git/GitHub, Tkinter, and a desktop application capstone. Confirm the current class timetable and software setup with admissions.
