Learn Cross-Platform Mobile App Development Basics
Understand the tradeoff
Shared code can reduce duplication and support faster iteration, but not every feature behaves identically across platforms. Native integrations, performance constraints, accessibility, and store policies may require platform-specific work.
Choose a framework from requirements
Consider target platforms, team experience, package health, supported device APIs, testing options, accessibility, and long-term maintenance. Do not choose a framework solely because it is popular or appears in a tutorial.
Keep platform behavior in view
Test navigation, keyboard behavior, permissions, notifications, and layout on the actual supported operating systems or reliable emulators. A shared component can still need platform-aware design.
Document what is shared
Separate common product logic from platform-specific adapters. Explain any limitations and the framework version used so another developer can reproduce the project.
